Common questions

What is email deliverability?+
Email deliverability is the ability of your messages to reach the recipient's inbox rather than the spam folder or being rejected outright. Mailbox providers decide it. They weigh domain authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), sender reputation and sending practices.
Why are my emails going to spam or disappearing?+
A common gap in the domains we audit is missing or weak domain authentication: no DKIM signature, no DMARC record, or DMARC set to p=none.
What are Gmail's sender requirements?+
Gmail requires bulk senders to authenticate with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, keep spam complaint rates low, and support one-click unsubscribe. The Google sender guidelines say mail that does not meet them “might not be delivered as expected, or might be marked as spam”. Check your SPF record and DMARC record to see whether your domain meets them today.
What does DMARC p=none mean?+
p=none is a monitoring-only DMARC policy. It reports abuse of your domain but blocks nothing. Moving to p=quarantine or p=reject is what asks receivers to act on mail that fails DMARC.
Is the Humerly audit really free?+
Yes. The domain audit, the Email Setup Score, and every DNS fix it generates are free with no signup. Enter your email if you want the report mailed to you as a PDF. Nothing on the page is locked.
Does Humerly measure inbox placement?+
We measure inbox placement on seed mailboxes we own, as a sample. We do not measure where your live production mail lands. The audit measures your email setup and authentication, which providers check before deciding what to do with your mail.
Does Humerly do warmup?+
We provide controlled volume ramping as a supporting capability of our sending infrastructure. Our warmup runs on mailboxes Humerly owns. They send to and read each other. We do not reverse a mailbox provider's spam classification, since doing that by script violates provider terms and burns domains, and we do not enroll customer domains in warmup.
